RESOLUTION NO. 01-03

APPROVING SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES' APPLICATIONS FOR FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION SECTION 5310 FUNDS

WHEREAS, under 49 U.S.C. Section 5310 of the Federal Transit Act of 1991 funds are available for capital expenses to provide transportation services to meet the special needs of elderly and disabled persons; and

WHEREAS, applications were submitted by Shascade Community Services, Inc. and Shasta Senior Nutrition Programs; and

WHEREAS, Shascade Community Services has requested funding for two modified vans and one medium bus for the benefit of transportation of their disabled clients; and

WHEREAS, Shasta Senior Nutrition Programs has requested funding for one small bus for the benefit of transportation of their disabled clients.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the application for FTA Section 5310 transit funding is consistent with the Shasta County Regional Transportation Plan, and when approved by the California Transportation Commission, the projects will be amended into the Federal Transportation Improvement Program.
