RESOLUTION NO. 02-06

AMENDED TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT (TDA) ALLOCATION INSTRUCTIONS
CONCERNING ADDITIONAL RURAL TRANSIT COSTS AND PURCHASE OF VANS
CAL YEAR 2002-2002

WHEREAS, the Shasta County Regional Transportation Planning Agency did annually determine the amount of LTF funds to be allocated to each claimant per Section 99230 of the California Public Utilities Code (PUC); and

WHEREAS, the transportation planning agency shall allocate to a claimant for a given area only such moneys as represent that area's apportionment PUC Section 99231 and the California Code of Regulations, Section 6655 require that the transportation planning agency shall allocate to a claimant for a given area only such moneys as represent that area's apportionment; and

WHEREAS, the transportation planning agency has determined that the actual costs of operating and administering the Burney Express and other County-funded transit programs exceeds the amounts provided for in original TDA claims; and

WHEREAS, the adoption of the revised 2001-2002 TDA claims will allow for the County to fully fund the Burney Express and other County transit programs from TDA resources.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Shasta County Regional Transportation Planning Agency:

(1) Decrease Shasta County's streets and roads (PUC 99400(a)) claim from $ 1,527,343 to $1,428,262 to allow funding of additional costs for rural transit.

(2) Increase Shasta County Rural Transit claim from $186,677 to $285,758 to provide additional resources for rural transit and rural transit administration costs.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of April, 2002, by the Shasta County Regional Transportation Planning Agency.
