RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Agency:
1) Consider the attached revision to the
2003/2004 Unmet Needs Findings Resolution 03-03.
2) Reword paragraph five of the Unmet Needs
Findings to be consistent with the Transportation Development Act (TDA) Section
99401.5 (d).
SUMMARY
The Department of Transportation (DOT)
requests that the fifth paragraph of the 2003/2004 Unmet Needs Findings
resolution be reworded for consistency with TDA Section 99401.5 (d).
DISCUSSION
The DOT has found that the wording in
the 2003/2004 Unmet Needs Finding resolution is not consistent with the
requirements of Section 99401.6 (d).
The word “new” must be removed from the resolution. Paragraph five of the resolution is reworded
to read, “… there are no new unmet transit needs that are reasonable to
meet…”
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT

2003 Technical Advisory meeting.
