| DISCUSSION |
| As part of Caltrans' system planning function, they periodically review state highway segments to determine what improvements are necessary along those routes for the next 20 years. Caltrans is currently in the process of preparing a Transportation Concept Report for State Route 89 through District 2. State Route 89 begins at Interstate 5 near Mt. Shasta and goes through the center of California for several hundred miles. District 2 is preparing a Transportation Concept Report from Interstate 5 to the Plumas County line. This generally goes through eastern Shasta County in a rural environmental. Kathy Grah, of Caltrans, will be updating the Agency on the progress of the study to date. |
