Public participation is essential to the successful implementation of any public planning program or project. Without the involvement of local citizens, it is difficult to design a program that effectively meets the greater need of the public. The Shasta County RTPA actively seeks to incorporate the involvement of the public in its planning efforts as defined in its Public Involvement Procedures.
