Streets and Roads
The transportation systems of the county and its cities are interconnected, serving each other's needs as well as their own citizens. Continual expansion of the cities mean today's county roads (and problems) may belong to the cities tomorrow. State and Interstate highways, while serving as the major traffic movers of the county, experience localized traffic congestion from newly built traffic generators. There is a need for inter-jurisdictional circulation planning. That need is served by the Shasta County RTPA using their transportation planning processes.
