PASSENGER RAIL IN SHASTA COUNTY

A criteria of the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) is to address all significant modes of transportation. Although passenger rail is limited in Shasta County, the RTPA supports the concept of more convenient and frequent passenger rail service and will continue to monitor passenger rail neds in the region. Amtrak's Coast Starlight runs from Seattle to Los Angeles and stops daily in Redding.
